Heading down for the "boat cruise"
We got going kind of late today. After breakfast, we started to walk around the park. We saw people out on the little lake with paddle boats and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we had our walking shoes on. Perhaps everyone would have gotten a good laugh today, watching us trying to get in the boat and shove off without getting wet. After several minutes of trying this and that, Harris left Judy in the boat and went back for his flip flops. When we were trying to get out, and when he left, there was no one else around. Of course, as soon as he left, three other boats came in and gave Judy a look as they were trying to dock where she was stuck in the mud. Oh well, no one knows us here! Harris returned, we shoved off and had a great paddle around the lake. Harris did mention to Judy that he finally took her on a long-promised boat cruise.

We think this is a beautiful park. There is a lot of green: lots of grass, trees and shrubs. Alas, the internet was not working, and Harris decided we should go somewhere else. So we drove north of Pahrump a little ways and checked into the Nevada Treasure RV Resort and Spa. It, too, is a beautiful park, but no grass anywhere! It is completely paved over. There is a great pool area, with a fountain spilling down into the heated pool.
Can you find "Howie"?
We headed into town a little ways this afternoon and did some easy caches. Then we found a Mexican restaurant (Su Mesa) that people recommended and had an early dinner. We came back to the park and tried out the hot tub, which wasn’t too hot, but still nice.s
