Newest addition to the Thomas Clan

Wednesday July 3rd - Monday July 8th (Days 309-315)

Kyle barbequed a red snapper for dinner on the fourth of July for us and a couple of his friends. We had a great time visiting....but were still waiting for the main event to happen. We brought a pizza for dinner on the 6th, but didn't stay long, because Serenity was having some serious contractions.

We got the text the next morning at about 5:30...River was born at 4:57 AM on Sunday, July 7th. We waited a day to go see her, so the new family could rest up a bit. On Monday, when we got there, Reliance met us outside the door, still in his pjs...very tired because he had been up all night, helping out.

Our first glimpse of River, coming home from her first doctor's visit.

Serenity and Kyle (and Reliance) were very generous with the new grandparents, letting us hold her a lot. We spent the day with them, just holding her, staring at her and enjoying seeing Kyle being a new dad. So far, (one day old) she is a great baby, hardly fussing at all. Reliance helped Harris cook a great dinner and after cleaning up we came back "home" to the RV park.

She almost looks like she's smiling here, in the above picture.

Grandma is definitely more interested in looking at River than River is in looking at Grandma.
