Our shady site that was close enough to pull in wifi
We’re combining the two days because not much has happened. We drove on Tuesday about 120 miles up the coast to Sebastian. We loved getting away from the city traffic and seeing the landscape change to beautiful green trees. The forests are an interesting mixture of palm trees and pine trees…something we’d never really imagined would grow together!
A squirrel provides some entertainment
We did laundry here and lounged around the pool, waiting for some shade before we went in the water. Our sunburns are better and we’re taking no chances.
A tree provides more entertainment
On Wednesday, we went a few miles away, checking out 3 quilt stores and doing some geocaching. Unfortunately, 2 of the quilt stores were no longer in business. Unfortunately the 3rd shop was having a great sale. Guess what color of material Judy walked out with? Harris just smiled when he saw it.
It's been nice to have a pool these hot days!
The best geocache we found today was at a McDonald’s. The cache was a little tiny tube stuck in a plastic hamburger, stuck up in a palm tree. Judy looked and looked along the ground, Harris looked up and saw it. At another cache, Judy got bit/stung by some ants, and that made us very cautious at the next ones.
Palms and Pines, Oh my...
We came back to swim and cool off again. We moved to a different site, so now Harris can pick up free wi-fi from the neighboring McDonald's. That makes him happy! Harris cooked a great steak for dinner tonight.
Total miles driven today=22
