Monday, March 11, 2013 (Day 263)
Weather wise, things are back to spring time normal…ie perfect. Harris took Howie to the dump station for his weekly visit and filled him up with fresh water. Rick texted that he got a great start and would update when he was nearer.
Most interesting cache today
Arizona style fence?
Harris decided to do his liquor run today since prices here are almost half of what they are in Washington state. On the way he found seven of 8 caches.
A very important stop
Since the Mariners were off today, he caught a Padres vs Athletics game. Luckily there were interesting people to talk to since the game was an early blowout . One of the highlights was when a section by first base (Padres fans) started an organized chant “OOOOOUUUUU” during the pitch and “AAAAHHHHH” during the catcher’s throw back to the pitcher. They did this for the entire 7th inning gathering more and more fans chuckling and joining in the chant. Several of the players were impressed. At another point there was a section on the third base side that started echoing the chant. It almost sounded like a soccer match for a bit.
Today's seat was a front row w/2 innings of sun turning to shade...perfect
After the game Harris picked up some shrimp and a steak for dinner on Rick’s arrival who just texted that he’s 72 miles out! Time to prepare for the arrival!!
And the final score
Total miles driven today =30
