Another cool morning but the day shaped up by reaching 78 degrees at game time. Harris did a little geocaching but only found 1 of 3. He parked at a Best Buy in Peoria and set up a time with a guy from the home theater department to borrow an Ethernet crimp tool on Saturday to try and fix the roof cable on Howie so he can extend his wi-fi range. Right now he has to prop the nanostaion on the couch back pointing out the back window to get a signal from the Day’s Inn a couple of blocks away.

Today the Mariners hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks and the stands were full. The lawn seats weren’t as good as they have been but were more than adequate. The M’s outhit the D’backs but Arizona had men on base when they hit their home runs while the M’s had solo shots. Final score was 5 to 8.
Richard, JoAnn, and their little home
When returning to the RV park Harris started up a chat with a couple from Oregon who invited him for a glass of wine. Richard and JoAnn were full timers for 7 years before buying a house in Pendleton and settling down. They shared some great stories of being paid to fly fish and doing work gigs around the West. Now they do trips in their small trailer (with a solar panel) that is pulled by a Subaru which averages 17 mpg while towing the 2000 lbs little trailer. They mentioned that Escapees is something worth looking at for RVing in terms of people you meet and value for the membership. Unfortunately they are leaving tomorrow, but it was nice meeting them and sharing some wine.

Harris is alternatively watching Slum Dog Millionaire and Catch Me if you Can—An interesting combo as he writes today’s blog. Meanwhile Rick’s basketball girls lost their first game in the Montana state basketball tourney, but won their next game so they are scheduled to play Saturday morning. His arrival is directly connected to how well the girls play. Only time will tell.
